It appears tho Kirk Session is tbo only legitimate unihority of the Presbyterian Church in the colony, and it accepted Mr Somervill's resignation, and which accoptnuco haa never been rescind,, ed. The principal mistake lies in te-porting that as evidence which, Messrs Wal' lace and Hutchinson assert never appoared 'n that shapo before the court; and at the best, only an attempt was made to disqualify tho action of the Kirk Session taken in favor of Rev Mr Soroei ville, on account of himself being present and forming ono of the quorum.
